Associate / Senior Associate, Real Estate (0148)

Summary of Role

To provide legal advice to a range of clients, including our public sector clients, including local and central government.  We are looking for an experienced lawyer to negotiate contracts and  advise on all matters involved in the purchase, sale, development and leasing of commercial properties across a range of sectors.

 

Key Tasks

  • Draft, negotiate, conclude and implement contracts for sale and lease of property assets.
  • Examine title and leases and report to clients.
  • Draft, negotiate and conclude leases and ancillary lease management documentation.
  • Build and maintain long lasting client and agent relationships.
  • Support more junior team members of the team with the development of their technical knowledge and skills.
  • Manage your workload competently, professionally, efficiently and cost effectively to achieve client and firm objectives.
  • Be pro-active in the financial control of all your own and team matters, including accurate time recording and prompt invoicing.
  • Contribute constructively to the work of other team members/teams in Real Estate and Infrastructure division.
  • Participate in and support business development initiatives within the division.

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • 6 years PQE with relevant commercial real estate experience.
  • Experience of supervising the work of others.
  • Experience working with or for clients in the Public Sector is beneficial, but not essential.

  • You have excellent communication skills, you are articulate, you communicate clearly, concisely and without any jargon.
  • You enjoy working within a team and autonomously on your own initiative.
  • You are personable and good at building and developing client relationships.
  • You are confident and you have a strong belief in yourself and your own ability.
  • You are committed to providing a good client experience and willing to put in extra time and effort when required
