Senior Solicitor/Associate, IPTC (0115)

Summary of Role

The successful candidate will be involved in working on all types of commercial contracts and information technology, information law, intellectual property (both contentious and non-contentious) and compliance matters.

The team is working with exciting and leading commercial clients nationally and internationally.  The organisations that the candidate will work with range across almost all industry sectors and in size from central and local government, education, creative industries, financial services, energy, food and drink, charities, media, life sciences, medtech, technology and from start-up to international.  The type of work is broad-ranging, stimulating and often innovative.

We are also members of strong international legal networks and work closely with firms across the world on joint projects.

 

Key Tasks

  • Involved in areas such as: ICT procurement, outsourcing, managed services, cloud / SaaS, e-commerce, data protection compliance, data sharing, licensing, data processing and security, brand and trademark protection, patents, copyright, domain names, IP licensing and commercialisation and freedom of information.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of training to clients and in networking activities generally. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • 2-4 years PQE.
  • Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a proven ability to manage and run their day-to-day work with appropriate supervision.

  • You have excellent communication skills, you are articulate, you communicate clearly, concisely and without any jargon.
  • You enjoy working within a team and autonomously on your own initiative.
  • You are personable and good at building and developing client relationships.
  • You are confident and you have a strong belief in yourself and your own ability.
  • You are committed to providing a good client experience and willing to put in extra time and effort when required.
